What is FUS
FUS = minimally-invasive technology that uses ultrasonic energy to target body tissue without incision or ionising radiation.
It’s currently investigated for treating brain disorders by modulating brain function and/or inducing circumscribed lesions.
Mission & Vision
BENEFUS is an academic consortium consisting of Belgian and Dutch partners, committed to advancing FUS towards an effective and safe treatment for various brain disorders. The consortium promotes excellent and multidisciplinary research and innovation in the fields of medicine, engineering, biomedical sciences, biology and psychology.
Focus groups
Within the BENEFUS consortium, focus groups have been defined; within each group, researchers focus on a dedicated research topic to achieve the BENEFUS mission.
